  1. Are the races walker and family friendly?

The Smile Mile and 5K races are timed and walkers are welcome to participate in both races.  Walkers with strollers are also welcome. Walkers and participants interested in a “fun run” rather than a race will be asked to start behind the runners and to yield to runners on the course.  The course along 30A will be re-opened to traffic at approximately 9:00 AM.

  1. How do I register my child for a “fun run”?

Yes.  The 5K race starts at 7:30 AM and the Smile Mile starts at 8:15 AM.  However, whichever race you register for (5K or Smile Mile) will be the race that you are timed for.  If you choose to run the other race, official timing will only be counted for the race for which you are you registered.  If you register and pay for both races, then both official times will be counted, but you will need to let the race time keeper know you are running two races.
